The advantages and disadvantages of high-frequency electronic labels are all here

Common problem 2022-10-27

The working principle of the high-frequency electronic tag is basically the same as that of the low-frequency electronic tag. The high-frequency electronic tag is usually a passive tag. When the electronic tag transmits data with the reader writer, the electronic tag needs to be located in the near-field area of the reader writer antenna. The working energy of the electronic tag is obtained from the reader writer through inductive coupling. High frequency electronic tags are often made into the shape of cards. Typical applications include China’s second-generation ID cards, electronic tickets, electronic tickets and logistics management.

1. Advantages of high-frequency electronic labels

Compared with low-frequency tags, high-frequency tags store more data; Due to the increase of frequency, high-frequency electronic tags can transmit information at a higher transmission rate; The antenna of the frequency electronic tag no longer needs to be wound, and can be made by etching and printing, making the antenna of the electronic tag easier; The system has anti-collision characteristics and can read multiple electronic labels at the same time.

2. Disadvantages of high-frequency electronic labels

Except for metal materials, the wavelength of this frequency can pass through most materials, but it will reduce the reading distance; The identification distance is close, and the distance between the electronic tag and the reader writer is generally less than 1.5m; Except for special frequency points, the high frequency band is subject to the restrictions of the Radio Regulatory Commission and has global licensing restrictions.
