What is an electronic tag? Don’t be silly

Common problem 2022-10-27

Electronic tags are also called radio frequency tags, transponders and data carriers; Readers are also called read-out devices, scanners, read heads, communicators, and read-write devices (depending on whether electronic tags can rewrite data wirelessly). The space (non-contact) coupling of RF signals is realized between the electronic tag and the reader through coupling elements; In the coupling channel, energy transfer and data exchange are realized according to the timing relationship.

Electronic tag is the carrier of RFID technology. RFID is the abbreviation of Radio Frequency Identification, and the term is radio frequency identification.

Operating frequency – 125KHZ- 13.56MHz;- 915MHz;- 2.45GHz;- 5.8GHz

Electronic tag composition

The most basic electronic label system consists of three parts:

Tag: It is composed of coupling components and chips. Each tag has a unique electronic code. High capacity electronic tags have user writable storage space and are attached to objects to identify target objects;

Reader: a device for reading (sometimes writing) label information, which can be designed as hand-held or fixed;

Antenna: transmit RF signal between tag and reader.

Electronic label characteristics

Data storage: Compared with traditional labels, the capacity is larger (1 bit – 1024 bit), and the data can be updated at any time, read and write.

Reading and writing speed.

Easy to use: small size, easy to package, can be embedded in the product.

Security: special chip, unique serial number, difficult to copy.

Durable: no mechanical failure, long service life, and resistance to harsh environment.

Induction effect: much better than ordinary
